Which IRWA classes are eligible for Continuing Education (CE) credits?

Eligible for CE credit.
  • Classroom (in-person) – a live instructor with students in the chairs
  • Virtual - This is via your computer with a live Instructor. Students are required to maintain audio and video throughout the course.
  • Hybrid – Course consists of students in classrooms and virtual.

To receive credit for eligible class attendees must pass course exam.

Ineligible for CE credit.
  • Online – classes that are pre-recorded that do not include live interaction with instructor. These courses are listed under the IRWA University, and the student sets the pace in which to take the full 16 hours. These courses are NOT approved for CE credit.

IRWA online courses are not pre-approved for Qualifying Education (QE) or Continuing Education (CE) credit for any state, jurisdictional, provincial, or other professional organization's licensing or certification requirements with the exception of Course 100: Principles of Land Acquisition, which is now approved for 16 hours of Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and TREC Easement Right of Way (ERW) CE credits only.


Which IRWA classes are eligible for Continuing Education (CE) or Qualifying Education (QE) state agency credits?

Are there any time constraints in order to receive CE or QE credits through my state agency?

Texas
Continuing Education (CE).  TREC and TALCB require CE credits for approved courses to be submitted by the IRWA Region 2 CE team no later than 10 days after completion of the course.  Any requests received after 10-days requires the student to contact Maggie Schedler [email protected] and she will work with TREC to ensure you get your CE credits.
For example, if your course ends 3/17/2023, your CE credit request should be submitted to Maggie Schedler no later than 3/27/2023.
Qualifying Education (QE).  Students using IRWA classes for TREC-ERW QE credit must work directly with Maggie Schedler regarding TRECs process for submitting QE credits.  
 

Can I take IRWA approved classes outside of My Licensed State and receive credit?

Yes, you may take courses that meet your state licensing agency course requirements outside of the state, the key requirement is the course must be approved for CE or QE credit, as well as the course delivery method. 


Can I use IRWA approved classes for Qualification Education?

Texas.

Texas Easement Right of Way (ERW) Agents may use Approved Classes for both Qualification Education (QE) and Continuing Education (CE) education requirements. 

All other licensing agencies for Real Estate Agents and Appraisers do not support using IRWA classes for Qualifying Education.

In order to download a PDF of your course certification you will need to download the certificate from the IRWAOnline.org website. 

You will need your login credentials to the IRWAOnline.org website.
