IRWA Course State Licensing Credit Approval Process is managed by Region 2 Education team in order to assist students to receive their course credits with their state licensing board. 

TALCB/TREC Posting System is now back online and ready for education credit uploads. TALCB/TREC have updated all licenses to now include alpha digits behind the license number. For example, a TREC Real Estate Sales Agent’s license will now be 123456-SA. If you are not sure what digit is required, please view your REALM page for your license number alpha digits. DEFINITIONS

TYPES OF CREDIT

Continuing Education (CE).  State licensing boards establish requirements for required professional education credits after a state license is obtained.  IRWA works through the state licensing boards to establish approved courses. 

Qualification Education (QE).  Licensing boards establish mandatory classes that must be taken and passed as a prerequisite to obtaining a state license.  The only state license which allows approved IRWA classes to count toward Qualification Education it the Texas TREC Easement Right of Way License.

CLASSES ELIGIBLE FOR LICENSING CREDITS

Classroom (in-person).  A live instructor with students in chairs.

Virtual. Classes offered exclusively via computer with live instructors.  Students must maintain audio/video connectivity to receive credit for class attendance.

Hybrid.  Courses consisting of both Classroom and Virtual students.  Students attending Hybrid classes virtually must follow virtual course requirements.

CLASSES INELIGIBLE FOR LICENSING CREDITS

Online. These classes are pre-recorded, self-paced classes without instructors offered through IRWA University only.  These classes are NOT approved by TREC, TREC-ERW or TALCB. 

IRWA online courses are not pre-approved for Qualifying Education (QE) or Continuing Education (CE) credit for any state, jurisdictional, provincial, or other professional organization's licensing or certification requirements with the exception of Course 100: Principles of Land Acquisition, which is now approved for 16 hours of Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) and TREC Easement Right of Way (ERW) CE credits only.

If you are requesting credit for other Region 2 states (Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana) you must contact your states licensing agencies to confirm continuing education credits.

TEXAS LICENSING

IRWA is an approved course provider for Continuing Education (CE) for licensed Real Estate Agents and Brokers and continuing Education (CE), Continuing Education (CE) and Qualifying Education (QE) for Easement Right of Way agents, and Continuing Education for Licensed Real Estate Appraisers.

TREC-ERW Easement Right of Way Agents (ERW)

For Agents who hold the TREC-ERW license

After taking the exam for either Course 100 or Course 803, please ask your course coordinator for the TREC-ERW roster. Complete the roster, and then ask the course coordinator to forward it to Maggie Schedler at [email protected].  She will post this information to the TREC education posting website.

After competing an approved course complete the IRWA CE Approval form (link).  IRWA has 10 calendar days to post CE requests to TREC-ERW CE posting site, please fill out this form within 3 days after the end of your class for IRWA may get your credits processed.

For Agents seeking an ERW license

IRWA is now approved as a Qualifying Education (QE) provider for TREC-ERW.

To receive QE credit after passing course exam, please send a PDF copy of your IRWA course completion certificate to [email protected].

TREC-Real Estate Agents 

For Agents who hold a Real Estate Agent License

Licensed Real Estate agents may use IRWA approved classes for Continuing Education (CE) credit only.

After taking the course for approved TREC IRWA approved classes please ask your course coordinator for the TREC roster. For Appraisers who hold Licensed Residential, Certified Residential, or Certified General Appraisal license

Licensed Appraisers may use IRWA approved classes for Continuing Education (CE) credit only.

After taking the course for approved TALCB IRWA approved classes please ask your course coordinator for the TALCB roster. Complete the roster, and then ask the course coordinator to forward the class roster to Maggie Schedler at [email protected].  She will post this information to the TALCB education posting website.
